Diamond Head State Park

Diamond Head Visitor Center Information

The Diamond Head Visitor Center is a partnership between the State Park Division and Pacific Historic Parks. It is open from 7 am to 3:30 pm and is located within the Diamond Head crater at the beginning of the hiking trail. The park is closed on Dec 25th and Jan 1st.

What to Expect:

Reservations required for non-Hawai’i residents (as of May 22, 2022)

Online Park & Hike Reservations

  • Reservations may be made up to 30 days in advance. Because the park gets busy at certain times during the day and may sell out, please book your reservations as soon as possible to avoid missing out. Please arrive within the first 30 minutes of your reservation period. If you arrive after 30 minutes into your reservation period, you may be denied access and/or parking. There will be no refunds for no-shows or late arrivals.
  • Limited parking. Carpool, Rideshare, or arrive early! 
  • Beware of falling rocks!
  • Limited shade – Stay hydrated and bring sunscreen! 
  • Wear appropriate footwear (sneakers, hiking boots, etc.)
